Where's the U? (and more on supes)
We got two calls just now telling us that the Ukiah High School "U" in the western hills is gone. Anyone know what happened to it?
Look for the supervisors to try another end run around the petition they know is coming to reverse their latest reinstatement of their 43 percent pay raise. Look for them to agree to form some kind of in-house "citizen" commitee but only if they get to keep the pay rasie they already have.
By the way, four of the five supervisors (not David Colfax) were at the Redwood Empire Fair awards barbecue. I wonder how many of them will put the mileage and the dinner ticket on the taxpayer's tab?

Here's an idea KC: Why don't you ask them, before implicating them all with your assumptions/accusations. The whole travel scheme has its roots to Supe Kendall Smith. She is the one the Grand Jury targeted with their report. She is also the one that ther Grand Jury has filed a claim for the reimbursement of fraudulent travel claims. It was Smith and colfax that lead the charge to increase the county budget amount for their travel and salaries. It was Smith and Colfax that also lead the charge for the salary debacle. Oh, and wasn't it Smith and Colfax that pushed the firing of John Ball, thus costing us taxpayers tons more money? Seems to me, Supervisors Smith and Colfax have their fingers in all this shameful stuff, and Supervisors Wattenburger and Delbar have opposed and fought against it all. Yet you continue to implicate them (or at least refuse to clarify their innocence) every chance you get.
So why don't you ask and see who claimed what for the fair dinner and let us know the facts.
